Share with colleagues how you adapted HOW2s to fit your classroom context.
To understand the importance of adapting the generic, context-free HOW2s to specific classroom contexts.
To practice adapting HOW2s to curriculum or classroom contexts.
To share professional learning at a forthcoming training event.
Organise teachers into groups (determined by variety of chosen criteria, eg, curriculum area, year group etc).
Inform the groups the student learning need to be addressed by the selected HOW2.
Inform the groups either which HOW2 to work on, or to select the HOW2 themselves.
Inform the groups that they will present how they adapted the HOW2 to their context, to peers at a forthcoming training event.
Use Nudge and include a date for the training event, then view the HOW2 in Presentation format to talk through their work.
Groups capture their ideas for and trials of their HOW2 adaptations.
Remind the groups to share their learning. Use Nudge to remind them and for them to use it to collaborate.
More precise capture and sharing of evolving practice by using HOW2s.
