Are you aware of Rosenshine’s work on the Principles of Instruction?

Absolutely. It’s brilliant.

This work helped shape the creation of the HOW2s. One of the ways we have organised the HOW2s is by The Principles of Instruction (PoI).
The one-minute video below shows the PoI collection in the HOW2 app library. The app also has Skills Exchange which enables educators to share, across their entire network
a) how they have implemented the principles into their practice
and to
b) ask for or offer support from and to colleagues

a selection of "HOW2" techniques for Teaching New Materials in Small Steps

During the (first?) COVID lockdown, we created additional HOW2s showing how the principles can be applied to teaching online. These are now (September 2020) live on the app. An additional nineteen HOW2s are in the pipeline and will be added for our users in the coming weeks and months. These are added at no additional cost to our subscribers.
