Your guide to getting the most from this app.
The home page provides instant access to the HOW2s you’re currently working on, notices from your colleagues and a list of activity from across your organisation.
The Library contains over 130 teaching techniques arranged into several Collections, each with a specific focus. Within each Collection are a number of Sets – or subcategories – which contain the HOW2s themselves.
Within each Collection are a number of Sets. In the Standard Collections these are effectively subcategories, but within Custom Collections each Set has a specific purpose.
The HOW2s are the step-by-step visual guides to evidence-based teaching techniques, and the other features of the app all revolve around them to keep interactions focussed and productive.
Use the Skills Exchange to keep track of your learning and to find colleagues to work with. You can assign statuses to HOW2s throughout the app, wherever you see a ‘Set Your Status’ button.
Nudges are the best way to set goals for you and your colleagues’ HOW2 usage. They can be assigned to one or more users, they can have HOW2 and Set attachments and it’s possible to specify deadlines for completion.
If you’re an administrator you can manage your organisation’s user accounts in the Colleagues area.
If you regularly need to send Notes and Nudges to the same sets of colleagues then you can save time by adding them to Groups.
If you’re an Administrator, you can obtain a report on your Organisation’s usage of HOW2. Reports are emailed to you, and include detailed user data as an attachment in CSV format.
