Training Day Preparation

Organise a training day around teachers sharing how they use the HOW2s in their classrooms.

Purpose

To prepare for a training day where teachers share HOW2s they have embedded in to their practice. 

Procedure

Find out who is currently using particular HOW2 techniques in their practice. 

Use the Skills Exchange to find who has the Embedded It status.

Ask the identified teachers if at a forthcoming training event, they would: 

– Run a 10 minute presentation at a forthcoming training day 
– Video their teaching using the HOW2 
– Write up their ideas 

Use Nudge to contact identified teachers and ask them to use Notes to collect their ideas and thoughts.

Option 1: Twilight, half or full-day training day.

Teachers revolve around workshops where they see their colleagues taking them through particular HOW2s.

Option 2

Alternate teachers between presenting their HOW2s, and viewing others’ presentations during the half or full-day training event, or alternate twilight session.

Option 3

Allocate time for teachers to view the HOW2s demonstrated, discussing with colleagues their plans for adaptation.
