Have you ever explained something to someone, they say they’ve understood and then gone off and done something completely different?
Then you’ll understand the benefit of providing the coach and the coaches with a graphic representation of the teaching technique(s) that they have identified as a possible way to overcome a learning need aka barrier to progress. It means both parties will be ‘on the same page’ and have a shared understanding from the get-go. Words alone can’t do this. That’s one reason why communicating through words alone is hard.
The visuals are not a silver bullet. The educator will have to tweak it to fit their context. But the time it takes to find a solution and learn it is significantly reduced by giving teachers and coaches access to the app.
Some educators can find and adapt teaching solutions to overcome learning needs on their own, BY ME.
Some prefer to do this with a peer or a coach, WITH ME.
Some may need a coach to model the process, FOR ME.
