Personalise Your Library and Track Your Organisation’s Learning Goals
Our latest update gives teachers the ability to customise the TeachingHOW2s library based on their personal needs and areas of interest.
Teachers have always had the ability to use the HOW2 Platform to track their techniques of interest through the My Sets and Skills Exchange features. Our latest update takes the app’s personalisation options a step further.
When browsing the library, you can now select the ‘personalise your library’ link at the top of any collection. On the subsequent page sets of interest can be selected and saved. On subsequent visits to that collection, the sets you’ve selected will be pinned to the top of the page.
You can continue to access the full contents of the selection beneath your selected sets and update your preferences for each collection at any time.
In addition to offering a more convenient browsing experience, this extends our integration of the HOW2 Process within the app.
The first stage of this process is to identify a target: what learning need or barrier to progress are you faced with? Our Barriers to Progress collection (account required) is designed to help with this, so choosing your priority sets from that collection is a fantastic way to get started with the app if you haven’t used it before or you’re heading into a new academic year.
In addition to helping individual teachers get started with the platform, these updates unlock powerful reporting functionality that will give HOW2 Leads new insights into teaching and learning priorities at their organisation.
The new Priority Reports feature is now available to all admin users. These reports are broken down for each collection and provide a top-level overview of what the most commonly perceived barriers to progress are for teachers within your organisation.
Additionally, you can drill down to individual sets to see which teachers have selected which sets as relevant to them, and reports can be exported to CSV files for further processing.
Our goal with this update – as ever – is to offer tools that support individual professional development as well as helping organisations to manage and enhance their overall CPD strategies.
If you have any thoughts or feedback on this update then we’d be happy to hear from you. If you’re not currently a HOW2 customer and would like a demo of these features you can book a quick discovery call or join us on an upcoming open webinar.
