HOW2 Engages Luke Zwalf as Teaching and Learning Consultant
Luke Zwalf is set to work in a consultancy capacity with HOW2, supporting the team and partner institutions to drive sustained and effective use of the HOW2 Platform.
TeachingHOW2s is pleased to announce that Luke Zwalf will work in a consultancy capacity with the HOW2 team and its partner institutions from 16 February 2026. In this role, he will support the effective integration of the HOW2 Platform into professional learning across HOW2 partner colleges and skills providers. Drawing on extensive experience of leading platform use at scale, Luke will help institutions maximise the platform’s value for teaching and learning.
From February, Luke will leave York College and work independently as a consultant. He brings first-hand experience of embedding HOW2 in practice, having led its use at York College in his role as Head of Teaching and Learning, supporting a diverse, 450-strong teaching workforce. During this time, he used the platform to build a strong internal community of practice, enabling teachers to collaborate, share approaches, and develop classroom practice together.
Reflecting on the platform’s value, he said:“With HOW2, there’s a technique for any situation. You can be very specific about the issue you’ve got or the problem you’re trying to solve in the classroom. Teachers can decide what is right for them and their classes.”
Looking ahead, Luke is keen to work closely with HOW2 Leads and teachers across the HOW2 Community, lending his expertise to support the sharing and development of good practice within and across colleges. He added,“The strength of HOW2 lies in how educators learn from one another, and I’m excited about supporting that shared learning across colleges in the UK and beyond.”
The strength of HOW2 lies in how educators learn from one another, and I’m looking forward to supporting that shared learning.
