HOW2, AAL, and Dovetail & Slate Launch Educator Accreditation Framework
New framework gives educators formal accreditation for professional learning achieved through HOW2’s practical, collaborative, and AI-supported platform.
TeachingHOW2s, the professional learning platform used across education and training sectors to embed evidence-informed teaching and strengthen classroom practice, today announced the launch of a new Accreditation Framework developed with the Awarding Association for Learning (AAL) and sponsored by Dovetail & Slate.
The framework provides formal recognition for the professional learning educators achieve through the HOW2 Platform — from applying practical, evidence-based teaching techniques to collaborating with peers and leading professional development across their organisation. It recognises not only evidence-informed practice, but the collaborative and leadership behaviours that sustain high-quality teaching at scale.
The framework features three progressive levels of accreditation — HOW2 Pedagogy Champion (Blue), HOW2 Pedagogy Collaborator (Silver), and HOW2 Pedagogy Leader (Gold). Each stage reflects a deepening level of professional growth, from embedding HOW2 techniques in everyday teaching to leading collaborative, organisation-wide improvement. Aligned with national quality standards and validated by AAL, the programme offers a clear, credible pathway for recognising sustained impact in teaching and learning.
The partnership between TeachingHOW2s and Dovetail & Slate builds on an established relationship, with Dovetail & Slate using the HOW2 Platform to support the professional development of their educators. Their sponsorship of the new accreditation framework reflects a shared commitment to raising standards in teaching and learning and ensuring educators are equipped with practical, accredited support.
Guy Walker, CEO of the Talentia Group (Dovetail & Slate), said:“Our partnership with HOW2 and the introduction of the new framework means we’re equipping teachers with accredited skills that truly set them apart. We’re committed to empowering educators by connecting them with expert guidance, CPD and coaching to support their growth, whether they’re new to the profession or experienced practitioners. For our clients, that means talented professionals who add value from day one and, ultimately, improve outcomes in the classroom.”
