App Updates Make it Easier for Educators to Evidence Improved Outcomes and Build Communities of Practice
TeachingHOW2s today announced improvements to its instructional coaching app that will make it even easier for educators and quality managers to collaborate with their peers and evidence improved learning outcomes.

Centred around its user profile pages, the updates include changes to the app’s popular nudge feature, which will allow users to access and view details of peer to peer and professional learning data with just a few clicks.
The updates also include improvements to the app’s core notes feature which will give users rapid access to notes written by users who have opted to share their reflections and learning publicly on the app. Prior to the updates, if teachers saw a particularly helpful note from a colleague, there was no easy way to check whether or not that colleague had shared other useful notes.
Viewing their own profiles, users will also be given access to a complete history of their own notes, including those that are private.

Professional standards bodies expect teachers not only to work on their craft, but to evidence how they have developed their practice and achieved better outcomes through independent, shared and professional learning activities. We’ve made it easier than ever for our users to meet these requirements.

Now live, the redesigned user profiles include dedicated tabs for the app’s key notes and nudge features as well as a new summary area that provides end-to-end usage stats for all major features of the app.

The improvements offer significant benefits to quality managers making it even easier for them to show accreditation teams or inspectors how staff are sharing best practices both across and between subject areas and assess the impact of the HOW2 teaching techniques across their organisations.
