Pittsburgh Technical College Selects HOW2 Platform to Enhance College-Wide Pedagogical Delivery and Instruction
Groundbreaking Partnership Represents One of First Installments in U.S-Based Higher Education
TeachingHOW2s LLC today announced its partnership with Pittsburgh Technical College (PTC) to deliver its faculty development platform, designed to provide pedagogical on-demand expertise to an unlimited number of faculty.
The HOW2 Platform’s step-by-step, visual guides to evidence-based teaching (EBT) techniques and unique range of easy-to-use social learning features will empower PTC faculty to lead their own learning, share expertise, and work collegially to learn and apply EBT techniques.
While the HOW2 Platform has been successfully implemented in nearly 200 colleges and universities in the United Kingdom and MENA region, PTC’s partnership with HOW2s represents one of the first of its kind in the United States. HOW2 has notably been adopted by the Royal Navy, as well as colleges in Scotland, Canada, and Saudi Arabia.
Thanks to key features to enable intra- and inter-college professional learning communities, the HOW2 Platform will allow PTC instructors to learn with and from their peers working within and beyond the boundaries of their own institution, both within the US and overseas.
In addition to addressing the immediate and ongoing professional learning needs of all faculty, part-time and adjunct staff at PTC, the HOW2 Platform will provide 24⁄7 systematic pedagogical support to;
Empower faculty to pinpoint barriers to student progress and instantly access practical solutions
Help faculty collaborate and continually improve and reinvigorate their teaching
Connect teaching and learning innovation with broader student success initiatives
Enhance teaching and learning capacity without the need to attend in-person workshops or conferences
Use evidence-based pedagogy as a vehicle to model, infuse and develop Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in classrooms, labs, and workspaces
Visit PTC’s website for more information and follow PTC on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.

Delivering systematic, evidence-based, pedagogical expertise for unlimited numbers of teachers on demand — the HOW2 Platform offers 100% scalable support, building teaching and learning capacity across entire teaching institutions — or networks of institutions — without the costs and inconvenience typically associated with in-person workshops and conferences.
Available anytime, from any device, the HOW2 visual guides to Evidence-Based Teaching (EBT) techniques come in various visual formats, including info-graphics and click-through presentation screens. The guides’ precise, step-by-step, easy-to-navigate nature makes learning and adapting the techniques quick and easy whether it’s for the classroom, lab, or workspace, accelerating the application of high-impact practices that have been shown to build student learning and close equity gaps.
The HOW2 Platform is used by Community Colleges, Further and Higher Education colleges, schools, independent vocational training providers, and public organizations in the UK, the US, and Canada.
