Breaking the Mould in Teacher Collaboration

TeachingHOW2s today announced groundbreaking updates to its instructional coaching platform that will give teachers the ability to collaborate and network with their peers working in other, external organisations also subscribing to the HOW2 Platform.

Building on the platform’s existing ability to facilitate peer-to-peer learning and coaching within teaching organisations, the latest round of updates to the HOW2 app will give educators the ability to collaborate with a network of teachers beyond the boundaries of their own organisation — or network of organisations.

The latest round of updates to the HOW2 app is centred around changes to its core notes feature which is used to capture and share learning and development relating to the 160+ evidence-based, step-by-step teaching techniques available on the app.

It enables us to create a collaborative network that supports improvement with teachers from colleges, as well as trainers and end-point assessors from the world of work across the UK and overseas.”

Set to go live in January 2023, the new inter-organisational functionality will also give colleges a practical way to create collaborative networks with other post-16 training providers and employers subscribing to the HOW2 Platform.

The HOW2 instructional coaching platform provides ²⁴⁄₇ access to step-by-step visual guides to evidence-based teaching techniques. The precise, easy-to-navigate nature of the HOW2 guides makes learning and adapting the techniques quick and easy, whether it’s for the classroom, lab or workspace.

Designed to improve learning through better teaching, the HOW2 app supports distributed learning environments and encourages peer-to-peer learning opportunities. Subscribers are given access to a private space to learn on their own but can also access a range of social learning tools that promote and facilitate shared, community-driven learning.

Leveraging the skills and expertise typically delivered by an instructional coach, the HOW2 coaching app gives faculty managers the tools and pedagogical resources they need to support teachers in meeting the ever-changing demands of teaching and student learning. Based in the UK and the US, the HOW2 app is used by Further Education and Higher Education colleges, schools, independent training providers and public organisations.
