Dr. Alicia B. Harvey-Smith Joins TeachingHOW2s as Regional President and US Ambassador

TeachingHOW2s is proud to announce its partnership with Dr. Alicia B. Harvey-Smith as Regional President and US Ambassador. A distinguished leader with over 30 years of experience in higher education, Dr. Harvey-Smith will advocate for greater support for faculty by expanding access to scalable, on-demand professional development and evidence-based teaching (EBT) strategies across the United States.

“Community colleges are at the heart of so many students’ journeys,” said Dr. Harvey-Smith. ​“But educators face immense demands — often without support. In her new role, she will champion the TeachingHOW2s Platform, which ensures EBT strategies are accessible to all faculty, including adjuncts and part-time staff. 

Dr. Harvey-Smith, the President/CEO of Sapientia One Global Solutions and founder of A.B. Harvey-Smith Educational Consulting, has held a wide range of leadership roles, including 15 combined years as a college president and executive vice chancellor. An esteemed president emeritus, Dr. Harvey-Smith is also a member of The Registry. Her extensive experience reflects a deep commitment to student success and innovation in education.

Her leadership as Regional President and US Ambassador will focus on building partnerships with institutions, bringing the benefits of HOW2 to faculty and students nationwide, and aligning professional development with institutional goals and student success outcomes.
