London College Chooses HOW2 App to Foster Collaborative Teaching and Learning Environment
HOW2 Platform supports health and well-being agenda at the London Enterprise College Bexley (LECB) in line with borough-wide initiatives to promote adult education, community-based learning and employment growth.

TeachingHOW2s today announced its partnership with the LECB, an Adult and Community Education (ACE) provider offering a range of vocational, special interest and essential skills courses, including English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).
The HOW2 Platform will support LECB’s aim to raise the profile of teaching and learning across the college and promote the well-being of staff through the development of professional dialogue and the sharing of good practice.
The app’s social learning tools will promote and foster a whole organisation, collaborative and teacher-led approach to professional development.
We wanted to move away from graded observations towards a tool that would put teachers in charge of their own learning but at the same time, give them the opportunity to share ideas and learn from each other. The HOW2 app turns CPD from a top down approach into something that’s owned and driven by teachers.
Philip Cunniffe, Vice Principal, LECB.
Philip added; “The HOW2 platform allows us to direct teachers to tangible resources that match the areas that have been identified for development — whether that’s at an individual, departmental or college-wide level.”
Providing on demand, evidence-based support for its full quota of staff — comprising full-time, part-time and sessional tutors across a range of face-to-face and online courses — the HOW2 app will allow LECP advanced practitioners to focus their attention on particular areas of need. Philip explains;
“Having the HOW2 web app available to all staff on demand means that we will be able to bring in advanced practitioners to provide a deeper level of support where and when it’s really needed.”
With the HOW2 platform, we can ensure that our teachers are fully equipped to deal with the diverse learning needs of our community. The HOW2 app is key to the successful delivery of LECB’s programmes designed to improve skills, employability and well-being across the borough.
LECB Principal, Tom Dillon.
